Multani Mitti translates to ‘Mud of Multan’ and gets its name from its city of origin, Multan in present-day Pakistan. Also known as Fuller’s Earth,  it is a mineral-rich porous colloidal fine clay-like substance with higher water content composed of hydrated magnesium aluminium silicates, calcium bentonite, montmorillonite, kaolinite, and attapulgite.
