Moringa

Moringa (Moringa Oleifera) often called the drumstick tree, the miracle tree, the ben oil tree, or the horseradish tree is a highly valuable fast growing drought resistant tree which is native to India. It has been used for centuries as an herbal medicine in Ayurveda to boost immunity, help manage gastrointestinal problems, detoxify the liver, heal wounds and maintain healthy skin, scalp, and hair due to its antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Almost all parts of Moringa (leaves, seed pods, seeds, flowers, and roots) are edible and used in various cuisines of the Indian subcontinent. Its pods are added to curries, dishes like sambhar, and soups, and made into pickles whereas the leaves are used for garnishing, making chutneys and sauces.

It is full of antioxidants and phytonutrients like ascorbic acid (vitamin C), Chlorogenic acid, Quercetin, and beta carotene. It is an excellent source of vitamins A, E, and B complex (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate), calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. It is also a good source of dietary fiber and protein as it contains all of the essential amino acids.

We at Indo Arts International sustainably source this wonderful herb in fine sieved powder form which is obtained from the dried leaves of the organically grown Moringa trees in India and processed in well-maintained certified labs.
