Guduchi

Guduchi (Tinospora Cordifolia), also known as Heart-Leaved Moonseed, Amrita, or Giloy, is an herbaceous vine indigenous to the Indian subcontinent. Guduchi means ‘something which guards the body against ailments’ in Sanskrit and is highly revered in Ayurveda for its immense therapeutic applications as a rejuvenating, immunomodulatory, analgesic, antioxidant, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory medicinal herb to treat various metabolic disorders and keep the body and mind youthful with increased levels of vitality, immunity, and concentration. The abundance of alkaloids, flavonoids, and bioactive constituents like tinosporin, palmetin, choline, isocolumbin, tembetarine, berberine, mangoflorine, aporphine present in stem and leaves makes Guduchi a highly potent therapeutic herb that is also used in cosmetic formulations to keep skin and hair healthy.
